The most important fact ever.

I want to share some knowledge that I have gleaned over the last decade while researching what the hell is going on in this seemingly crazy universe. If you've been reading my blogs lately some of this will be repetitive, but consider that a necessary price to pay in order to get this type of information to legitimately sink in. I believe this little fact is the single most important piece of information a person can have in regards to living a full life. In fact, I would say, in terms of foundations for one’s castle, it is the most important building block of them all. The key stone if you will. If you use this building block your castle will never crumble, it will never become weather worn. Your castle will never be besieged by another.

It is an incredibly simple concept. I didn’t figure it out reading self-help, or psychology books either. Although these gave me a much greater depth of ‘vision’ than had I not read them; it turns out I never needed a single one of them. This fact is so simple, yet it goes as deep as one can go.

Deep? Potentially the deepest part of your mind is where this fact resides. Think of your mind like a movie projector, this fact is the light. It is the fundamental source for everything that happens in the movie of your life. Without it, there is no movie. You see, some people believe their movie is the only one they can play, they don't know they can change the movie. Some people, realize they are the light, and not the movie, these are the enlightened ones. Allow me to enlighten you.

I discovered this fact while studying the unconscious mind. I suffered some trauma as a child so as an adult I have had to search for my true self. I knew I wasn't what I had been taught to be. I knew I had to find the source of the light deep within myself. Many people claim this to be the spiritual path, I realize it is just maturity. It just happens that most monkeys choose not to grow up on purpose. This maturity process happens to be a long drawn out process, with many twists and turns, ups and downs; it is riding the roller coaster of life, but choosing to ride the more gut wrenching of roller coasters. Again, we can pick the movie.

Eventually one discovers that the body is the unconscious mind. To a lot of people, this is not easy to grasp.

I think most people don’t know how to settle this fact into their ‘thinking’ so that it is meaningful. That is because it requires experience, not thinking, to actually know something. People will need to have an actual experience of their body literally being their unconscious mind; in order to know that it is so. That being said, it being said, can point the way. Kind of like realizing denial is the beginning of change, so is intellectually realizing something. It's the beginning. Thoughts are intentions with affect, so thinking about it, prior to experiencing it, is just how it goes. Unless one gets lucky. Here is a spiritual theme, about how some people receive the grace of god, because of gods doing, not their own, while others must seek and toil. Just remember here, god and the unconscious are synonymous. That last statement is another one a lot of people struggle with, but that is another blog, for another day.
I am saying; do not merely think about it, but go about seeing for yourself; then you will know.

This is not the fact though of which I was speaking. Those tidbits are just the primer, the build up. The fact I found is deep, so we need some stairs leading down to it. One of these stairs is the fact that the body is the unconscious mind. The next stair down is that what has historically been labeled god is actually the unconscious. So naturally, logically, it suddenly should make sense all this spiritual talk about how god is within.

The next stair is difficult and requires action, or grace, and it downright sounds preposterous to many. Turn off the thinking. Like it or not, it’s the next step down. To truly bridge the gap between the conscious and unconscious one must learn to silence the monkey mind. That voice we use to talk to ourselves inside our head is commonly called the monkey mind. It's what separates, or at least we like to arrogantly assume, from the rest of the primates. Human primates can talk to themselves inside their heads. Thus, monkey mind. The words the monkey mind uses, the cultural programming it received, it's all monkey stuff. Nothing more.

Turning off the thinker is an unavoidable part of the spiritual process, and one cannot achieve the depths of their own mind without having done it. I've lost count of the people who just stare at me poleaxed, completely confused, having never even thought such a thing was possible. So many Americans do not even know such a thing is possible. These people are completely identified with the thinker. They can't comprehend inner silence. Like I said, most Americans have no idea such a state of consciousness exists. That is what almost everyone says to me. Most have spent their whole lives hypnotized by their own thinking. They can’t comprehend that it can be stopped, because they've never even attempted it, and if they did it would not even begin to happen. It has of course happened for them, but they did not notice it when they did it, and having no idea how it happened even if they did notice.

They exclaim most adamantly, just like a famous philosopher once did, "I think, therefore I am." This is a lie though, because you can cease that train of thoughts endlessly running 'through your mind,' and you will still be you. That guy was dead wrong. He was only half way to truth, claiming he knew the truth. If you could magically, somehow, never have another thought again in your life; you would still be you. Although you would act quite differently, so you can see here what we mean by identifying with the thinker. We all change through out life even if we do not try, aren't we still ourselves? Just acting different? This is what I mean by the light, projecting the movie.

One of my favorite ways to express this idea is by using a sheet of blank paper. Do this if you can, because it will help you make it real. Take a moment, and do this for yourself. Don't imagine doing it, make it real by taking out a blank sheet of paper, then get a pen or pencil, and make the smallest possible dot that you can on the surface of the paper. The dot should be so small that you cannot see it from a couple of feet away. Make it so small you have to get up close to the paper to see it. Now imagine that this piece of paper represents the total activity of your total mind at any given moment. This moment right now. We've frozen it, and like an x-ray, or photograph, we are looking at our total self. Now, that dot represents your thinking voice. That dot is your personal thinker. That dot is the monkey voice.

Now let's ask the tough question; is that dot you? If I pulled a single hair off of your head, and then started talking to the hair as if it was you, is that going to work? Better yet, let me take a single cell from your blood stream, is that cell you? Keep staring at that piece of paper, because if you have been identifying with the thinking voice in your head all your life as if that is who you are, I've got some news for you: You are not that dot, you are the whole sheet of paper. You are absolutely, tremendously, amazingly, so much more than that little tiny dot.

Silencing the mind is a surrendering thing, not a make one’s self do kinda thing. You don’t teach yourself, you let yourself. You let yourself be your total self. This is what most people get hung up on. It hung me up for years. I struggled for many years before it happened. One can't think their self into not thinking, because that is thinking. Just reading these words will have put you on the journey. You can't undo reading that, no matter how much denial you might have.

Intellectually I put this together studying, India style gurus, hypnotism, and the unconscious. The gurus all talk about turning off the thinking, and they call it meditation. Being American, without any of those Indian words, or culture, I realized a hypnotized person; isn’t thinking! A guru sitting meditating; isn't thinking! Their “speaking” mind, is put to sleep, entranced, hypnotized. The difference is, the guru knows he's doing it, the hypnotized person does not. When a human is hypnotized; their unconscious personality speaks for the organism, but they will have no memory of the experience. A person who is doing it via meditation, just doesn't speak, but the unconscious is still doing the talking, inside their head, but they are aware of it happening! Cool right?

Probably sounds creepy to some people, like it is a loss of control to turn what one thought was "their self" over to "their self", which is why I said it is much like surrendering. Being hypnotized is just another form of meditation, and if you think about it, it requires surrendering. Can you see where this goes? This gives us an opportunity to study the unconscious mind inwardly. I am not recommending using hypnosis as the way, I am just saying it is a way. All one has to do is study what all the different people, from different cultures, found, observed, and shared regarding patients in a state of hypnosis. Simple. If you compile this with the gurus and the study of the unconscious, the inner workings of the mind will begin to emerge. If you add in the idea, that most spiritual metaphor is a guide, or way of using unscientific language to get one in touch with their own unconscious, it all makes sense.

I've said this in other blogs. It is worth repeating many times, especially to someone who has no previous experience with this idea. Think about it, if metaphorically speaking god is actually our unconscious, add it up. Words. Power.

This is the most important fact regarding human nature that I have found in over ten years of research. So simple, so easy. The unconscious mind follows consciously held beliefs to their logical conclusion, without first checking to see if they are accurate. Think about all the spiritual lingo regarding manifesting, prayer, and god. Think about all the Jesus talk about the Lord already knowing what we need and want. I don't want to fill in all the blanks here, you must go and see for yourself. If that dot isn't you, then who knows you better than anyone? The total you!

Let’s say I am hypnotizing someone, and you are watching. First you will see me put the person’s thinking to sleep, or into a trance, or whatever you wish to call it. Through suggestion, notice this word, because this is exactly what your thinking does for you, which is exactly what I will be doing for the hypnotized person while they are in trance. In order to even be hypnotized they will have had to surrender to me. Basically, my voice becomes this persons thinking while they are hypnotized. As I've stated before, the unconscious is not going to check premises. The person hypnotized has the same will to live, awake as hypnotized, and can override my suggestions the same way in which it can it’s own thoughts. For instance, you can't get someone to harm themselves while hypnotized. Weird right, thinking of it that way, but that is precisely how you must see yourself. They won't harm themselves by say, stabbing themselves with a knife, because they wouldn't do that consciously aware. How many times have you had self-harming thoughts, but still you aren't dead? Clearly, if you're reading this, you never actually went through with it. So there are limits on how far the unconscious will follow premises. Seriously, imagine if your body, that is, your unconscious mind literally followed every thought you had. Carl Jung put forward that the unconscious is compensatory. It compensates, or balances conscious attitudes, beliefs, thoughts. Now relate this to the blog I've written about your psyche, your soul, being an electromagnetic force.

Maybe think on that a moment or two before carrying on. You are probably like I was at first, and are used to thinking that the body and mind are separate, but they are not. In this Western culture that is definitely how we are taught that it is. Most Americans attribute way too much to the brain. You can literally think with your toes, if you were in touch with yourself enough to realize when you were doing so. Your toes though, obviously are not going to have the same kind of thinking that your brain does, and it definitely isn't going to sound, or feel, or be like the monkey mind. You see most people are hypnotized by their own stream of thoughts. Like I said, take a moment and wrap your mind around that. Your unconscious mind does not “obey” nearly as many of your thoughts as you would like to think it does. In other words, your ‘thinking’ is not nearly in control as much as you would like to ‘think’ it is. But yet, it is. There is a paradox here. More than likely the person reading this is quite hypnotized by their own thought stream, identifying with it, instead of witnessing it and seeing it for what it really is.

One of my favorite philosphers, Jiddu Krishnamurit says, "The highest form of human intelligence is to observe yourself without judgement." This is a direct way to break free of how one was taught that reality is, versus how it actually is. So long as one is consciously judging, via the thinker, particularly and untrained thinker, what is happening inwardly, one will never be able to actually tell what is happening inwardly. The beginning phases of meditation are exactly this, and are nothing but silent, but that is the process of learning how one's own mind actually works. Others can give words, guidance, but one must do it alone.

I love that. Even if I only rocked one person's psyche with that, it's worth it. So anyways....

Once the person is hypnotized, again, that is, their speaking mind, or thought stream, has been put aside, or to sleep, or whatever, their unconscious mind is able to come to the forefront. It really doesn’t matter what you label it. The important thing is to gain awareness of the phenomenon. You are the same kind of monkey as that Zen Master, as that enlightened Guru. There is no difference between you and the most enlightened being on earth minus the fact that they are 100% in touch with their unconscious, and you are not; we all have the same unconscious. Once the thinking is partitioned away, silenced, the unconscious mind will then be much more able to do it's thing. It will almost seem like it has its own personality, which it does! Carl Jung calls this process individuation. When one realizes they are so much more than that tiny dot, and then proceeds to integrate the total self: One becomes their True Self. You can bet your ass that will not be what you thought it was only operating from your cultural biased thinking self. If you have never subsided your thoughts, you are completely unaware of your true personality. Go ahead, take your time and digest that; it's going to take you years.

Think about it again, the hypnotized person will be following my verbally spoken thoughts almost exactly as if it were their own. The unconscious doesn't check premises, that is what the conscious mind is for. Just by being hypnotized, this person has submitted to me. In the same way the organism will follow its own suggestions, via, thought, or the speaking mind, it will follow mine instead. Remember, it's not a total surrendering, the person will not harm their own self, but it has been shown over and over, people will follow some really weird suggestions. Think about it, hypnotized or not, people do all kinds of really dumb stuff, so it really isn’t that surprising to see someone act on being told they are a cat, or a chicken: look at all the dumb shit we do every day.

Here is the crucial fact, it's worth repeating over and over. A human beings unconscious mind follows suggestions to their logical conclusion without first checking to see if the suggestion is true at all. This is an all powerful fact, which dictates the life of all humans. Does the placebo effect ring a bell? If I hypnotize you and tell you that you are a cat, you will follow that to its natural conclusion, which is to act like a cat. Your unconscious mind will not check to see if it is true or not that you actually are a cat or not. Seems silly?

It happens with physical phenomenon as well. This should illustrate how powerful the unconscious mind really is, and should shed some light on why some people do amazing things. Let’s say this person I have hypnotized said it was okay for me to experiment on them. They've given me permission. Surrendered. Now it is about to get really good. This person has gone even further with the surrender. They trust me. This is a shamanic energy exchange, having permission. In shamanic terms, even asking me a simple question about life, gives me permission to enter into one's life energetically. I am going to show you just how powerful this phenomenon is. I am going to make your jaw drop. I am going to tell the hypnotized person that I am going to burn the back of their arm with a red hot poker. While reaching out with a pencil, I touch the back of their arm. The person never flinches, nor gives any physical sign that pain was involved; yet a small blister appears where I touched them with the eraser of a #2 pencil.

This blew doctors minds. How could this be? Because the unconscious does not check premises, that is, the hypnotized persons unconscious did not check to actually see if it was a red hot poker, it was simply following what the substitute conscious voice, (my voice) has said, it follows it to it's logical conclusion and a real life blister appears on the skin. Compared to what this American culture has collectively taught us about the power of one's own mind:The power of the mind/body is immense. Doctors who have learned this have performed surgeries on people without any anesthetics. Can you imagine being cut open, without any drugs, and never feeling a thing? It's a fact.

In the medical industry they call this the placebo effect. These people don’t seem to understand what is really going on with the organism which is a human. They do not teach what is really going on in systems of public education because the truth is not profitable. The power of hypnotism is one of the things the professional medical industry has suppressed because it destroys profit. There would be no need of any medications whatsoever if people had full control of their own body/mind. There are many proven cases of people healing in the same manner as the Lord Christ, and yet these people never claimed to be god. They simply understood how the mind actually works, and used that power to trick people into healing themselves. If a dude was walking down the street right now, and you truly believed, like legitimately believed that all you had to do was touch his clothing, and you would be healed; you would be healed. Hospitals would go out of business within a week if everyone knew this truth.

One more example to drive it home. It’s not that the unconscious cannot think, it just doesn't operate in that way. It thinks differently. It is constantly "thinking" as it were. Another way to say it is, you are always, forever, in a constant state of prayer; radiating into the universe your Self. I'm grossly over simplifying the power of the unconscious saying it this way. This is why it is so important to learn to not think. Then you will know for yourself, and you will know why spiritual masters say knowledge of god cannot be relayed with language. The totality of ones unconscious cannot be expressed with words to any degree of satisfaction whatsoever. Remember the piece of paper, that tiny dot. Of your total mind activity at any given moment; your thinking is something like less than one percent of it. The unconscious mind is in harmony with its environment, it senses everything, and is pretty much calling all of the shots. It's the result of millions of years of evolution, and is comprised of star dust.

They have scientifically proven our conscious mind simply creates stories after the facts. The unconscious will calculate perfectly, whatever it is given. Compared to that measly little dot of your thinking, your total self, your unconscious; is all knowing. It is the most advanced organism known in the universe at this time. The mind of a single human could technically be considered a universe in and of itself. Spiritual talk does in fact say this is the case.

Did you catch what makes this fact so important? I've said this before; if you tell yourself you are a loser, your unconscious mind is not going to check to see if that is true or not; it is going to follow it, totally, completely, logically, and unendingly, to its conclusion.  The unconscious does not sleep. It does not rest. Before you were born it has been evolving, and recording/responding to its environment.

If you care for yourself whatsoever, it should have just slammed home to you just how important your thoughts, your beliefs, about yourself are. It's a paradox. That little dot is so insignificant in one way, but in another way it is the key to the door to god. That little dot runs the show. Surely though, you've figured out by now, one can grow that dot, and make it bigger. One could say an enlightened guru's dot is the entire page, but here in America, because we're raised to identify with the dot, as if it is their Self, have the tiniest of dots. Every single facet of your life revolves around that dot, your whole life revolves around this fact. Your entire organism is operating on your beliefs as if they are facts, whether they are or not. Your beliefs, your attitudes, your thoughts, your worldview, dictate the movie. In reality though, you are the light of the movie projector. There is no movie without this function of the unconscious. In this light, your beliefs about yourself are the only thing that matters, because without them, nothing you do is even possible.

Spiritually speaking; you are the light. I'm not going to bring archetypes into this.

Showing, and explaining to you how your unconscious mind is in synchronization with its environment is another story. More like a book actually.  As would be attempting to sum up the total powers of the unconscious. That would be volumes.

I'm sure it's obvious, but it is never good to have false beliefs, beliefs that are not true. They are the reason there is so much suffering in the world. 99.9% of the population is identified with what is metaphorically speaking a hair on their head. It's like everyone is walking around with a hair from their head screaming at everyone else; Look at me! Now you know. Now you can stop the madness.

It is best to keep one’s beliefs simple and to the point. This is why spiritual masters say to shed duality, and adhere to the facts. Such as, “I am a good person.” Nothing more. No stories, no ideals, no reasons. No past, present, or future. It is what it is, kind of thing. Just say, “I am a good person,” and then listen to that voice within, that is your body, that is your unconscious, that is god, and take what comes your way. When you were born, before the world got at you; You were a good person.

If you're using that tiny dot to navigate life, you can't possibly know what is going on. There is no need for anything more. Even if it's not immediately true because perhaps like mine once was, your life is a wreck, you've got to start somewhere. Life is not a straight line, but a spiral. Round and round we go.

Have a good day.
